In Spring of 2013, The Ottawa Public Library and IdeaScale launched their first online engagement or crowdsourcing initiative as part of their efforts to understand what residents of Ottawa, and Library staff, were looking for in the library of tomorrow.
Learn how the Ottawa Public Library
- utilized IdeaScale to help imagine the library of tomorrow
- gathered ideas in six key categories
- generated interest from nearly 15,000 people participating by posting or commenting on ideas, sharing through social media, or voting.
“Working with IdeaScale, we were able to develop an initiative that managed to engage over 14,000 people who focused on ideas on how to improve the Ottawa Public Library for tomorrow. Many of these ideas have become an integral part of our strategic planning process for the future.” – Monique Brulé, Ottawa Public Library
