At IdeaScale, we believe that great ideas can come from anywhere — and that belief doesn’t just shape the product we build. It shapes how we build it.
That’s why our product roadmap ideation and selection process is public – at ideas.ideascale.com! Using the very same IdeaScale platform our customers use every day, we leverage our broader community — customers, partners, employees, anyone else who cares, and “random people” too — to share their ideas, vote on features they care about, and track our progress as we turn those insights into reality.
Here’s a snapshot of where things stand today:
Let’s break it down:
-
650 ideas are currently open for voting — a testament to how engaged and thoughtful our community is. These ideas span: “gimmees” such as fixing grammar errors, things that are good but need to be done thoughtfully like removing duplicative features without breaking workflows, and more complex things like brand new feature ideas which require careful community and internal vetting.
- 34 ideas are currently are being internally evaluated for feasibility and prioritization versus our strategic roadmap
-
110 of those ideas have made it onto our official product roadmap. That’s not just a promise — it’s a public commitment.
-
Most importantly, of those 110, 50 ideas have already been implemented. Real features, real change, real progress — all driven by the community’s input.
This is more than just a numbers game. It’s a reflection of our core philosophy:
🧭 Radical Transparency
We don’t hide behind closed doors. When we say we listen, we mean it — and we show our work. Our public idea portal isn’t a marketing stunt; it’s a working tool that holds us accountable. Everyone can see what’s being suggested, how ideas are progressing, and which ones we’re actually shipping.
Even I submit ideas as the CEO — and not all of them make it. Some get voted up, some get voted down. That’s exactly how it should be. Ideas stand on their own merits, not on titles or tenure. It’s a healthy check against blind spots and an open invitation for better thinking to win.
Transparency builds trust. Trust builds great products.
🤝 Community-Driven Innovation
Our best product ideas aren’t born in a boardroom. They come from the people who use IdeaScale every day — the ones who run campaigns, manage feedback loops, and feel the friction points firsthand. That lived experience is irreplaceable.
We’re proud to co-create with you. When an idea rises through community support and lands on our roadmap, it’s a signal that we’re building something people truly want — not just what we think they want. And when that idea makes it to implementation? That’s innovation in action, powered by the crowd.
We’re not just listening to our users. We’re building with them.
🚀 Execution That Matters
Not every idea makes the cut — and that’s okay. But when ideas do resonate across the community and align with our vision, we prioritize them and deliver.
So if you’ve ever submitted an idea, upvoted a suggestion, or even just browsed our public portal — thank you. You’re helping shape the future of idea management.
And if you haven’t yet — jump in. We’re building IdeaScale together.
