Open government is great – but how do you synthesize thousands (even millions of voices) and how do you turn that information into real results?
These are questions that IdeaScale often fields and we’ve got great answers about how to manage your engagement, what it means to have good moderation, what role selection plays in the process, etc. But we also have great success stories from clients like the State of Michigan and the NYC Comptroller’s office who have made decisions that effect billions of dollars worth of government business. That’s why we’re hoping to have them share their story at SXSW next February 2014. As you might already know, the crowdsourcing process of panel picking for SXSW started yesterday. So if you want to hear what they have to say, join in that conversation.
For those of you who don’t know:
“The PanelPicker is a two-step online process that allows the SXSW community to have a significant voice in programming SXSW Interactive (presentations, panels, discussions, demonstrations, etc.)
STEP 1 encourages the community to enter proposals for daytime conference programming for all four SXSW events.
STEP 2 allows the community to browse all of these ideas, leave comments, and vote for what they think are the best fit for the March event.”
We hope that you are excited to participate in the SXSW PanelPicker process. We’d love to see you there. Learn more about our session and share your thoughts.
