No wonder the pre is failing. It has LESS features than the treo/centro did. Why the hell would you enter birthdays in the contacts if it has no reminder? I missed many important birthdays/anniversarys already. Palm needs to die. My junk old centro even reminded me of this!

Makes sense! Especially since it was on the Treo. Whats the point of putting s birthday on contact if it wont remind you of it...

Update: Some of the hackers at the PreCentral.net forums have found that the capability to add launcher pages is already written to the OS, but is commented out. I wonder if they disabled it while they assess other "first release" bugs in the OS, and I assume they plan to enable it later.

If you can "root" your pre (instructions are in the same forums) you can uncomment the relevant lines and enable the feature.
