Sorry, too late. We need the money to pay for just basic survival services to keep people alive during this depression. Oil prices will rise, people will drive less as a result, climate change will occur and we will be in a very different world very soon.

Buying green energy is a good start. Also, selling products that align with Seattle's climate goals.

This is a good idea. It'd also be safer.

Don't get me wrong, I understand there are those downtown that utilize the free ride area but I feel like generally speaking it only benefits a few people - and why should just downtown have a free ride area?

Some of us that live close to downtown take advantage of the "ride free" area as well. Anything that gives people more incentive to bus/walk instead of driving and clogging up traffic is good.

I like the idea, but how do they determine what level they give the tax break to and which businesses meet that level?

I agree. The free idea makes no sense.

As the owner of a scooter shop in Seattle, Sound Speed Scooters, I of course agree. Security is one issue, but in addition, it just makes no sense for a small bike to take up parking of an entire car parking spot!

For real. At the very least there should be designated street parking for two-wheeled vehicles that have some sort of post to lock the bike to. A lot of mopeds and scooters can be easily stolen and that's why people park them on the sidewalk.

No kidding. Taking the monorail to the public library and then eventually to the International District would make a lot of sense. That connects at least four huge tourists attractions to the mode of transportation that Seattle is known for. Not only would it increase tourist ridership, it would be a convenient method to get from the south end to the north end for Seattle residents. Just having those stops would connect the Seattle Center to the downtown shopping district, to the library, to the train stations and the sports stadiums. Good call.
